Mr. Ogunde is a leading Senior Advocate of Nigeria. He is also a former Attorney General of Ogun State. He is well known for his sound advocacy skills and the ability to proffer practical and innovative solutions to complex legal matters.

Mr. Ogunde, SAN is a consultant to the Firm. The Firm is privileged to draw from his four decades of experience and excellence in legal representation and advisory services across different fields of law and sectors. He is a fellow at the American Bar Association (one of only three Nigerians to be conferred with that title) and also a merit award winner for professional excellence at his alma mater, Igbobi College Lagos (one of the oldest and most prestigious colleges in Nigeria and the alma mater of several prominent Nigerians).

He is a regular speaker at various conferences, seminars and workshops organised both in the legal profession and in other sectors.

Ubong is the founding partner of the Firm and heads its Dispute Resolution Practice Group. He is a graduate of law from the Obafemi Awolowo University, and the Nigerian Law School, Kano Campus.

Ubong has significant experience in corporate and commercial litigation across different sectors, intellectual property law, labour/employment matters, white collar defense and investigations. Over the years, he has successfully represented commercial banks and the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) in various high magnitude debt recovery actions. He has also successfully represented clients in various insolvency actions and cross-border disputes.

He has contributed to several World Bank Doing Business reports. He is a firm believer in using legal skills and knowledge for public good. In this regard, he has led and participated in several pro bono causes including free legal representations for indigent members of the community, research contributions to the UNHCR, Centre for Reproductive Rights, and the Association for the Prevention of Torture.
